Throughout the years, Parkside’s student section has changed. They’ve gone from only a few students cheering for our sports teams to tons of students cheering and encouraging each other not only at games, but in the school environment too.

Mrs. Harkins, one of the cheerleading coaches and leader of the #RAMFAM, feels that the #RAMFAM should be encouraged everywhere at Parkside to keep all students excited to be a part of this school. “Each year the #RAMFAM grows and I think that’s great! I want it to grow every year, make students excited about school spirit.”

Harkins shared about how she feels on how strong our #RAMFAM is. It starts at the games, everyone comes together with one goal, to beat the other team. These games get everyone excited and brings students together. Senior Abby Roskovich shared her favorite #RAMFAM memory during  her four years here. “My favorite memory would have to be my freshman year when all of the staff at Parkside got into the cheers with us and got everyone pumped up.” Abby feels that having a student section at the games encourages the players to work harder and keep them hyped up during their game and it encourages students to get excited about being involved in school.

Being apart of #RAMFAM helps students feel like they’re a big happy family at Parkside. As students spread the #RAMFAM spirit it makes it seem like an expectation to have school spirit and that really makes a difference in the school environment. All the teachers try to encourage school spirit in their classrooms as well as in the hallways. No matter what clubs or sports you’re into, if you come out and support Parkside with other students you’re guaranteed to have a blast. So go out and spread as much #RAM spirit as you can to make Parkside an exciting environment!!
